Statement of Purpose:
These are the last three questions in the Baptismal Covenant of the Episcopal Church. At Nativity we believe that part of our baptismal calling is to reach out to the community around us to proclaim the Good News in word and deed, to serve Christ in all persons and to strive for justice, peace and dignity for all of God's people. Nativity offers a variety of outreach ministries both within the building and out in the community. We also try to offer both opportunities for service and ministries focused on social change. Our current outreach ministries include: Family Table:On the last Saturday of each month Nativity members serve a hot meal to any who wish like to come. All are welcome to eat and enjoy in the fellowship. Bags of groceries are also distributed for guests to take home. Episcopal Community ServicesNativity members partner with Episcopal Community Services on projects throughout the year including Birthday bags, Adopt-a-Family, Welcome Baskets, school supplies and much more. Community Action Council of Dakota CountyNativity supports the CAC by collecting, grocery and school items to assist persons in Dakota County. CAC is our primary referral for help requests from the larger community. God's GardenThis year a large garden was planted with the fresh produce being donated to organizations such as Ronald McDonald House, Battered Women’s Shelter, and our own Family Table. |
