Linda Bandy, Office Manager
Nativity . . . you allow me to use skills that I
believe are from God and placed within me to use for His glory! While a
freshman college student at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar,
Missouri, I truly believed God was guiding me to work in the church
office. Nearly 10 years later that is where I found myself, working "as
needed," to assist one of the most competent, dedicated church
secretaries on the planet! She was also a true teacher and I still
practice some of the skills she taught me. Twenty plus years ago I
began working in the church office full time at Avondale United
Methodist in Kansas City, Missouri. My oldest daughter was in college,
my second one in high school and the "baby" was in 6th grade, which
allowed me to begin fully using the gifts within me and developing the
skills my wonderful "teacher" had taught me. I have remained in the
church office since then, except for 2½ years in the faculty
offices of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, also in Kansas
City. I came to Nativity after nine years at Osseo United Methodist
Church in Osseo, Minnesota.
My commitment to my God and His church is strong
and I pray always will be. As I work each day I pray that I will bring
glory to Him and enable His people to go forth into the world with His
message of hope and salvation.
This all said, perhaps my greatest achievement is
being the wife of Wayne Bandy, Director of Missions for the Twin Cities
Metro Baptist Association and the mother of three daughters, Melanie,
Sharum and Carrie, who have given me six beautiful grandchildren:
Cassidy, Hunter, John Paul, Josh, Allie and Abby.
