Dean Billmeyer, Organist

I have been Nativity's organist for the 9:00 service since September 2001. An organist since the age of 12, I have trained at the Eastman School of Music, Southern Methodist University, and the Hochschule für Musik in Vienna, Austria. I serve as University Organist and Professor of Music at the University of Minnesota, and hold professional certification through the American Guild of Organists at the level of Fellow.

As a lifelong musician and committed Christian, I find my work on the organ and musical performance in worship to be inseparable from the act of worship itself. It is rewarding to work with the rich resource of the Hymnal 1982, and I am always honored to share this music and the other literature I play with Nativity's congregation.
