Children's Formation

Faith formation opportunities are available for children from four years of age to sixth grade. Nativity is passionate about supporting children in worship, children’s spiritual direction and parents as the primary faith educators of their children.

Children are an integral part of Nativity’s worshipping community and welcome in all services. As a worship-directed outlet for young children’s energy, children’s bags are available for all services by the entrance to the sanctuary. Inside the cloth bags are coloring pages of a Gospel story, crayons, pencils, blank paper and a small Christian children’s book. Also, after the sharing of the Peace and before Holy Communion at the 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. worship services children of all ages are invited to come forward to hear a story. Parents or other adults are welcome to come with their children to make them more comfortable. The stories chosen relate to the day’s scripture passage and sermon, connecting it on another level to the world in which we live.
